안녕 Bumblebees!

So thanks to iFabbo I got to try out Christie Brinkley Authentic Skincare CLOSE UP Instant Wrinkle Reducer and Treatment. (Whew!... That's a mouthful.) We're going to find out like Grav3yard girl says...."Does this thing really work?" I really wanted to try this product because let's be honest-- Christie Brinkley is in her 60s and she looks fabulous! She definitely looks 20 years younger than her actual age so I certainly wanted to scoop up this anti-aging wrinkle reducer.

Also, stay tuned because the folks at Christie Brinkley have kindly sponsored a giveaway of 1,000 sample tubes! So you have to hurry while supplies last!

Packaging & Appearance

The box is cute. Although, I hate when companies waste paper by putting a small product into a much larger box. 1) It's deceiving because you think you're getting a bigger product and 2) it's just wasteful.

The tube is pretty basic but it does serve its purpose in disposing the right amount of product. So that's a plus. I hate when a company chooses cheap containers that break easily or that dispense way too much product.

The product itself is white in color and is creamy in consistency. It's very velvety to the touch. The smell is a little odd but it's not too offensive. I like the fact that artificial perfumes were excluded from this product.

My Review

Remember, this is my personal experience from this product. These results aren't typical and you may have a different experience.

Can I first start off with the fact that this product is touted as a product that can be used around the eyes but that there's a warning on the box that straight out says "Keep out of eyes. Stop use if irritation occurs. Keep away from children." I find that EXTREMELY ironic...

I used this product for a month before I wrote this review because I wanted to be certain of my opinion of it. I have hooded eyes. So to help with the sagging I applied this product to the upper part of my eyes as well as my under eye area. The first time I tried this product there was a mild tingling sensation which I found peculiar. Maybe this was one of those gimmicks to make you think the product is working? I thought. I waited to see if there was any change in the appearance of wrinkles above and below my eyes. After two minutes I saw no changes. It's as if it didn't work at all.

I continued to use this product despite my initial disappointment. I experienced the weird tingling sensation each and every time I used this product around my eyes which did cause some concern since the eye area is very delicate.

I soldiered on until one day my boyfriend asked me: "You already put on makeup?". "No", I replied. "It looks like you have dark eyeshadow on", he responded as serious as a heart attack. I have never been so horrified in my life... especially since we were about to go to a wedding and I wanted to look good. I jumped to the mirror and noticed that my skin DID appear darker both above and under my eyes. That was the last straw because I have NEVER had a problem with under eye circles before. I tried covering up the darkness with some concealer but to no avail. I'm still trying to recover my skin from this experience.

Oh, and I totally forgot to mention my view on the price. You guys know I'm cheap as hell. Ain't no way I would shell out $79.95 for this product. If it had worked, heck yeah but sadly because it doesn't I wouldn't touch this with a ten foot pole. I don't have problem areas on the rest of my face so I can't really speak about its performance around the rest of the face but I would definitely not use this product around the eye area like is suggested about this product.

Overall Rating:

2.5 out of 5 stars
